Do we charge for information? YES

We have very limited funding and only volunteers to help with research queries.

We charge $20 for simple information requests.

If your request will require more extensive research, we will provide an estimate of the time and cost involved and ask for your agreement before we proceed.

Our fee structure, for more extensive research is:

Hourly rate: $60 (billed in 10 minute increments), for research and writing replies.

To ensure that your question can be answered in a timely fashion, you must include as much information as possible.

For bicycles, you must include: Manufacturer; Model; Serial Number; Date of Use; WHeel sizes; and an image
For cyclists, please include all known dates and locations of events participated in.

What we can do

We can:

• answer straightforward questions on Australian cycling history, where the information is readily available in our Library;

• conduct more extensive research, for a negotiated fee, or

• refer you to other possible sources of information if we cannot provide the answer.

How long it will take?

Please be patient, as we have limited staff hours. We try to respond to queries within four weeks.
